Nina Johnson
Anyone who knows 11-year-old Nina Johnson would say she sees the world through a different lens than most people. The lens fills Nina’s eyes with bright and vibrant colors, like a mesmerizing kaleidoscope with all sorts of colors and shapes. With her senses set ablaze, Nina finds her passion for art, writing, and theater. At Cedarwood School, she takes these extracurricular activities to new heights.
Alicia Ford, Nina’s writing lab teacher and Spanish teacher, says the opportunity arose in the fall for students to enter the Appelley Publishing Company Poetry Contest. The poem Nina delivered to Alicia’s hands was entitled, “Misunderstood Creatures.”
