Predestined For Love

While Amy Fairbank and JeanPaul Guidry may have always known each other through their parents, it wasn’t until adulthood that they finally got to really know one another. Years of hinting and planning by both sets of parents to, as JeanPaul puts it, “marry their offspring” had gone unheeded, but a visit from Amy’s dad early in the summer of 2019 seemed to change everything. Motivated to finally make the move that he had been so long been avoiding, JeanPaul contacted Amy and suggested a date. After a lunch at Baco Bar in Covington on June 18th, 2019, that was “more like a reunion of two old friends than an explosion of love at first sight,” the pair decided to hang out again that weekend.
