Community Leader: Jill Allender
For Jill Allender, serving as Class Director for You Night is far more than a volunteer role, it is a calling. Jill stepped into the position in 2024, taking on the responsibility of keeping each woman in the program supported and connected. While her duties include sending reminders about rehearsals, photo shoots, or events, Jill sees her role as much deeper than logistics. “It’s also about keeping a pulse on their physical and emotional well-being,” she explains.
Jill’s connection to You Night began in 2021, shortly after her own breast cancer diagnosis. She joined the Spark program and immediately felt the power of its mission to help women reclaim confidence and joy after cancer. Two years later, she walked the runway herself as part of the 2023 class, a transformative experience that inspired her to give back. When the opportunity arose to serve as Class Director, Jill embraced it wholeheartedly.
