Lyba Leona

Lyba Leona is a California-born, award-winning artist based in Madisonville, Louisiana. A Fine Arts painting major at SELU in Hammond, she is gaining recognition across the Louisiana art scene. In 2025, five works were selected for the university’s juried student exhibition. Her autobiographical piece “Long Tall Sally,” praised by Terrance Osborne, placed second in the “Fragments of Imagination” competition. Her work has appeared at White Linen Night in Slidell and in Kinetic Medical Journal, while “Godfather Death” was featured on the British podcast Grimm Reading. Her work is currently on display at Boxcar Gallery on Royal Street in New Orleans, and at The Wild Osprey in Mandeville.
