Community Leader: Sarah Hill

Sarah Hill

-Liesel Schmidt

Born and raised in Pearl River, Sarah Hill has deep ties to the Northshore. After college, she moved away to pursue her dream of working at Walt Disney World in Florida but later moved back, finishing her master’s degree at the University of New Orleans. Eventually, she joined the team at Visit the Northshore, where she now works as the marketing manager of the tourism and travel organization. Interested in investing more of herself in the community that she loves, Hill later became part of the Leadership Northshore Class of 2023.

Feeding back into the Northshore and making a difference for those who live and work there is a great motivator in Hill’s life. Raised by parents who have always encouraged her dreams, she dedicates herself to giving others that same opportunity to live the best life possible. To that end, she works closely with the Steel Mimosas, a local women’s organization whose mission is to make an impact in St. Tammany Parish through quarterly donations of $10,000 to a different non-profit organization. The group also volunteers at community events throughout the year.

“I feel that I cannot take credit for any significant contribution,” says Hill of the work she does to give back to the community. “I am never working alone, and the impact of these contributions are the work of many people coming together because we love our community and want it to prosper.”
